Terms of service
Last updated 23 October 2026.
By using Tang Yun you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short.
Reading
Poems, translations and notes are provided for personal reading and study. The Chinese originals are public domain. Our English translations, reading notes and artwork are our copyright: you may quote up to four lines with a link to the poem, and ask us first for anything longer.
Print purchases
Each print is a one-time purchase, billed in US dollars through PayPal. There is no subscription and nothing renews. A purchase buys the file for the size tier you selected (Standard, High-res or Print-shop) and the licence below.
If a payment fails or is reversed, access may be suspended. If a file will not open or print, contact us and we will fix it or refund that period.
Download licence
With a purchased print you may download and print the file for personal use, gifts, and classroom teaching — framing, walls, lessons. You may not resell or redistribute the digital file itself, or use it as merchandise for sale. Write to us if you need a commercial licence.
You may not: resell, sublicense or redistribute the files; upload them to stock libraries or print-on-demand catalogues; use them to train machine-learning models; or claim authorship of the artwork or the translations.
A purchased print stays yours: the download link in your library does not expire.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass the download gate, scrape the site at volume, or use it in a way that breaks the law where you live.
Availability
The site is provided as is. We aim to keep it up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without prejudice to consumer rights you may have where you live.
These terms are written in plain language and are not legal advice.
